More Black and Whites
The project is to create one black and white image per day of someone important in my life. Between now and the end of April.

Images That Just Appear
I have lots of respect for Alison raising three boys so successfully. I'm sure coming into the studio for a portrait was far from their first choice of things to do; they said they did it for her. There is a clear sense of respect and care. At the end of the session this image just happened. That composition and chemistry is amazing when it happens and I'm open to seeing it .
I'm glad she liked the image.

Engaged Lives
Fun meeting and photographing JaLynne and Mac. I enjoyed talking rowing and kids of all ages (they have six). They project such a strong sense of joy and respect for each other that I hope I reflected. My favorites ...

Quiet Care and Respect
I enjoyed meeting and photographing the Kostyniuk family last week. So much quiet care and respect for each other came through. I love the last image I grabbed in the front room with each of you standing & doing your own thing when the session was basically done. It looks like it should be on the cover of the Rolling Stone! Tyler (11) was convinced he was taller than his uncle Robert, so we made him taller ... And it's always fun capturing it when someone is just being.

Great Way to End 2017
One session left in the Holiday season on Saturday afternoon. A mom and her two daughters. I was stumped about what I was going to do to create something different and feeling I’d been repeating a theme the last couple of sessions. It’s always great to meet people, figure out how they are together, and try to show that in my images but what can I do that I've never done before? The answer walked in with Rebecca and her daughters. They were looking for three individual images
